Chipstead Valley Road..

Very pleased to see on Saturdays return from Box Hill that Chipstead Valley Rd has been resurfaced - done a really good job too not just some lash up or cheap repair. I wondered who would have paid for this ? Croydon Council or does it come under a different authority ?

Beautifully done. Made for a great return as you said Brian, hopefully made up for your being late and riding with the 17s to the Pine :D .

It comes under Surrey County Council. Its funny that the rest of the borough gets the gravel.

I heard Rogan paid for it.

ah, thanks Paul.. I was thinking it might be Surrey CC. Yes , wonder why they went for such a good finish when 'tar & chip' suffices for almost everywhere else ? not knocking it mind, just i was v surprised to see it on Saturday afternoon ..

I like the feel of silky-smooth tarmac under my tubs :D
