Cycle Dauphin Sale Starts Saturday

Postby n1ck » Thu Jan 05, 2012 12:14 am

Hi all out on a long run today ran past Cycle Dauphin their sale starts this Saturday with tea and cakes. I could list what they told me, but it may be incorrect use of the forum. My legs are regretting it 3 1/2 hours for 20 miles, just about made it back to pick up the kids. They also said that they going to be opening 7 Days a week.

Insist on choosing your own month, eg August when you may be on holiday, or simply stay out of bike shops for 31 days, accumulated throughout the year.

the guys who built my TT bike at Dauphins made a couple of basic cock ups. Check any work they do carefully is all I'm saying.

Oh crap. That didn't last long,

I put new wheels on my winter bike today and noticed the old brake pads had aluminium embedded in them. So I popped into Bike + and ended up buying new tyres, well it was rude not to!

Don't tell Evil.

But I did get a rear light bracket for FREE. :D

Always use the safety argument - new brakes means you can stop quicker; carbon handlebars - no risk of breakage due to metal fatigue; lighter wheels - spin up quicker so get you out of trouble quicker; lightweight frame - ditto; new tyres - grip better; full Dura Ace kit on your new lightweight frame - "well darling, if I'm going to descend those mountain roads at 90 mph (wAGs will never know  ) like the pros, then i need to have the same kit they do; new forks and shocks on a mtb - safer to absorb the bumps than bounce through them out of control.
