In the meantime, I went to wipe a bit of dampness out of the bb because last time we had the cups off, it was quite wet inside. Managed to dislodge another bit of the bb still inside and about a cup of water poured out from wherever it'd been collecting

The plan is, at the end of the summer and the bike is put away for the winter, to dismantle it a bit and allow everything to dry out before sealing up the holes in the frame (left in during construction to allow hot air out...)...
Mechanic will be contacting Stronglight and find out what exactly are they playing at with the bottom bracket - cos their Activ link bbs and chain sets are bl00dy expensive and they were the only ones I could find that did 165 cranks in a 48/34 (or even 50/34 for that matter...). Here's to third time lucky...
