Get well soon, Tim

Postby Grahame » Sat Apr 14, 2012 2:28 pm

As some of you will know from his status updates on Facebook* and word of mouth, Tim Coales was knocked off his bike this morning by a driver of a white van who failed to see him despite the bright colours Tim was wearing (ACC kit). Tim reports that he is a bit bruised, has a sore left wrist, but is otherwise OK. His bike is in GB Cycles being checked over.

I just wanted to say "Get well soon Tim."

Sorry to hear this Tim, but glad that it doesn't sound too bad and that you still seem to bounce. All the best and hope you get your financial losses covered by the driver's insurance.

Get well soon Tim! I hope you are not in much pain.

It’s shocking how drivers don’t see or don’t look.

This came to me via the pm system:

I just heard about your incident. I hope you and your bike are in one piece - get well soon :)

The sender knows who it is from, and ('cos I haven't suffered any significant incidents recently) I know it's not meant for me, and I won't embarrass them...
