October 17 - Sky releases a statement in which they state all riders and personal will be asked to sign a declaration confirming they have never used PEDs. If anyone refuses to sign or are found to have used PEDs they will be asked to leave.
October 18 - Sky announces Cavendish is to leave immediately.

Cav's been leaving sky since before the end of the season. He was essentially only a sky signing for a year for the olympics. He was never going to get team support at sky as they want to work for GC riders.
Cav has gone to the best place for him, omega pharma. A quality team who concentrate on classics and go for stage wins in the tour. With a top sprinter they can hammer the classics and then pick up a hatfull of stages with their big strong riders giving great lead outs to a sprinter.
