Seriously, it's probably to do with the lack of a big profile for pro level road racing in the UK, and the (historical) low numbers of pro riders from the UK, meaning that it's not a commercially viable promotion proposition for a UK based company. Sorry, I have a business lecture to give later and need to warm up.
