Skillpages alert

Apologies if you have received an email from me concerning Skillpages, if you have please delete it.

I was sent an email from a business contact yesterday which was an link to connect to them via Skillpages, appeared to be a LinkedIn type website. Everything looked kosher and I accepted.

However since then I have received a number of emails from people I know saying that they wish to connect to me, one of which is only someone I don’t really know but have sent a race entry to. At the same time I found that at least 4 people in my company have received an email from me asking them to connect to me via skillpages.

I didn’t send any but it appears to have set up an account for me and sent out a load of invites on my behalf. I have deleted the account so hopefully this will stop any more going out.

I have told our IT Dept. and a google found a number of reports along the viral invite line.

Sorry if you have received an invite from me, and if you have or from anyone else and accepted, then I’d recommend you look at your account and delete it.
