Monday 22 July Addiscombe Cyclo-Cross Summer Series at Bethl

Postby Mark Leedham » Thu Jun 13, 2013 10:42 pm

On Monday 22 July Addiscombe are Promoting the London Cyclo-Cross Summer Series Round 4 at Bethlem Hospital. The first race is 6 pm ending at around 8:45pm

All ACC members are welcome to ride or spectate. I am also looking for 11 helpers, so please contact me if you are willing to help.

We have a great series this year and great sponsors. The summer series (with your help) try to promote great races and attract big sponsors. This year and Shaun Bayliss has managed to secure £7000 worth of sponsorship! And developed a great new web site http://summerseries.co.uk

Location
Bethlem Hospital is 5 minutes’ drive from Central Croydon near to West Wickham. The course is at the back of the hospital. Walking round the course with the woods, trees and fields it is hard to believe that you are so close to Croydon Town centre.
Google Maps: Monks Orchard Rd, Beckenham, London BR3 3BX for directions.

Helpers
I am looking for 11 helpers to cover (Lap scoring, Sign On/Off, Marshalling and First Aid). Marshalls will be briefed before the event to ensure that you all understand the importance of your role. ACC will contribute a fiver towards any expenses plus an ACC hat.

Timing
The timetable for the evening will be:
5:00 Sign on begins (I will need 2 or 3 helpers at this time to help set up)
6:00 Under 12 Race (2 or 3 more helpers for marshalling and Lap scoring)
6:30 Youth Race (All helpers need to be in place)
7:15 Senior/Junior/Women/Veterans Race
8:45 Event Ends
