Communication

Postby Keith » Thu Dec 12, 2013 9:01 pm

We've a shiny new website:
    www.addiscombe.org

However, there's little content to make it worth any member visiting. How do we go about rectifying this?

Some recent local cyling club website updates:
    Southborough & District Wheelers
    Crawley Wheelers

Looking at these websites, their communication appears to be integrated with their website; news, reports, twitter feed, Strava, etc. Personally I don't feel that our club communicates well.

Good point Keith. I've mailed Marco to ask if he can set up a "News" page. We can talk about the day to day running of it at the next committee meeting.

OK, Marco is on the case. All we need now is some news.

On the subject of communication, I plan to go back to posting the committee meeting minutes (minus anything libellous) in the relevant forum section. If there's anything people think the committee should be dealing with then you can PM/e-mail me (phil dot hawkes at gmail dot com). There's a lot more to this cycling club lark than just riding the CR and eating cake - although that's a fine thing too.

we did have a twitter feed on the website. I suppose from not communicating at all to not communicating well is progress.
