YJ have steadily increased our position in the market over the past 18 months and we’re now recognised as one of the leading cycle insurers in the UK, with a particular focus on protecting those who use their bikes to race competitively, be it Sportive, Triathlon, Cross, MTB, Road or Track.

Our growth means we now need an organised, but charismatic and caring person to make sure we continue to treat everyone to our high standards. We’re looking for an individual to look after customer services whilst also being prepared to get involved with other aspects of the organisation, such as promotions and events, following up sales enquiries and annual insurance renewals. We don't push; we let our product do the talking so no hard sell required!

As a bike minded individual you’ll be able to empathise whilst assisting customers during the claims process liaising with key external partners managing logistics, being a point of contact from the first moment a claim is reported to the point at which it is closed.

You need to have great personal organisational skills and be happy to help organise the team, we visit numerous events and races during the season and the office is always buzzing with exciting and interesting projects.

You will be working directly with the Managing Director and the small Yellow Jersey team which is part of a larger organisation. A cycling background and a technical understanding of the workings of a bicycle are a distinct advantage; maybe you’ve worked in a cycle shop or raced with a team before?

We will create a package dependent upon getting the right person for the job. This is not a senior role, but as our young company grows, the responsibility will grow with it.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• To provide an efficient and effective service to customers, understanding their needs and requirements and working to exceed these wherever possible.
• Be flexible and able to attend cycle events and races on weekends.
• Deliver customer service in line with ‘best practice’ and ensure compliance to relevant policies.
• Provide point of contact for customer enquiries, dealing with these through to a successful outcome.
• To maintain a good level of personal presentation.
• To comply with the Data Protection Act at all times.
• To actively follow company policies (including Health & Safety & Equal Opportunities).
• To carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your Manager.
• To call clients for required information, payment and documentation.
• To maintain accurate records and computer files.
