In keeping with my tuesday/thursday racing regime I decided to do the LVRC race at Eastway yesterday. Well I guess I should be flattered by this, but at the signing on table I was asked for my date of birth despite handing over LVRC licence. At the start of the race I was getting some odd looks (nothing to do with my colour I'm sure); then at the end two guys suggested that I was possibly a ringer.
Now as you fellas in your forties know its not something that you willing advertise. At the end of the race I told one of the blokes that I was 41 and why indeed would I say that I was 41, if I wasn't. After all its not like you get a special racing prize for having entered you fifth decade. Anyway the race was approximately 3rd cat pace and I just used it for training
