Help I need Some Racing Wheels!

Postby Toks » Fri Jun 23, 2006 6:33 pm

Hi guys I haven't got lots of money to spend but I need a decent set of racing wheels - I don't mind a second hand pair if they're in good nick. Can anyone help?

My Friend just got some of the Mavic Askium's from probikekit.com ... only £90 and he said they are brilliant.... i had a quick ride on them and was very impressed

Be careful with the cheap and cheerful wheels. I bought a pair of Mavic Cosmos the cheap and cheerful ones from Pro Bike Kit. They did not last very long, mind you me and rear wheels don't seem to get on very well. But I would pay a bit more for a second hand pair of decent strong wheels than go for something new and cheap.

Remember, they are cheap for a reason.

Cheers

Marek.....

I've been impressed with my Xero Centauris since I bought them (Pearsons,£200) and think they offer good VFM.
