racing licence question..

hi everyone

i jus got my lecience delivered, jus one queery about it to anyone who knows the answer--->

on the side that has the passport photo, at the top it has 'racing licence' then jus undernieth it says 'not valid'....but then just underneath that its has: '705152 valid to:______' --->no date.....may sound a stupid question but does it meen the licence is not valid? if so what can i do about this?

but on the membership side its says 'valid to 31/12/07'--->do i need to add that date to the blank bit or the licence side or anything?

Stuart it sounds as if you don't have a valid full licence. One side of the licence is a provisional licence the other the full licence (with the photo on).

You can do some races on just a provisional licence but I suggest you check it with BC. Give them a call - the membership people are pretty helpful.

stu, you might not even have a provisional licence, when I joined BCF at the start of the year I didn't get a full licence at first (as it costs more and I didn't know if I was going to stick with racing or not) but I got a provisional licence, the thing is, on the photo side under RACING LICENCE it said 'Provisional' and under that it gave my BC number and valid to date:

RACING LICENCE
Provisional
XXXXXX Valid to: 19/01/2007


For the various disciplines, like R/T (road/track) MTBXC (mountain bike cross dountry) MBX and MTBDH (mountain bike down hill) it states 'N/A' wheras on a full licence these would be filled in.

EAsiest thing is to ring them and ask, I did and they were very helpful.

sorry to add to my post, one side of the card is BCF membership the other is theRacing Licence it sounds like you only got BCF membership and no Racing licence.
