New Helmet

Postby Paul H » Thu Nov 09, 2006 12:06 pm

I fell off my bike and broke my Helmet yesterday.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a replacement.

Thanks

If that helmet worked, therefore you are still in one piece, then why not put your trust in the same model.

Cheers

If you liked it, and can wait a little while, the manufacturer's "crash replacement" programme will be the cheapest way.

Helmets are almost as personal thing as saddles - what one person finds comfortable may be excruciatingly painful for another person.

For instance - I have a Giro shaped head, and hate Bell hemets, but I know other people who are the other way round.

Recently, I've bought a Specialized Decibel which I like for road riding and have had a Giro E2 for a couple of years for mountainbiking.

In summary, my recommendation is:
Go to a shop, try several on, buy the one which fits best.

Dave K had a nice Bell (CSC) helmet at the club house last night. Can't remember which size but probably worth contacting him to check it out if you can.
