Evening all,

just thought id share a pretty action packed day with you all. just got back from the manchester velodrome.

watched day 2 of the uci world cup classics event, including some top sprinting, team pursuiting and points racing.

a host of stars were out, including: wiggins, clancy, manning and hayles for the gb team pursuit, which was hotly contested by the 100% me team (them boys really do fly, beat the bronze medal spanish team of athens '04!) and there only my age. i have some work to do yet!

as well as hoy, tournant, bourghin, veltd, and world champ theo bos in the sprints (who actually crashed out early on in the morning) he was ok, just didnt fancy carrying on. even tournant had a spill after winning a heat, dou to a tyre blow out, i tell you, it was louder than the guns they use! and unforunately for him, it happened on the steepest section of the track. needless to say, he plummeted to the bottom. but he carried on to win gold in the mens sprint, beating hoy 2-0 in the final. (bloody french! sorry sylv!)

right thats as good as my journalism gets, any jobs going huh? so if you want to see some pix of the day, click here...
