Snoop's Goals - Thanks 4 Making Me Do This Toks!

Postby Snoop Doug » Mon Apr 23, 2007 10:28 pm

[quote="Snoop Doug"]Awww crikey, here goes....and remember this is one sloooow coach here:

1) go under 27 mins for a 10 mile tt, current pb is 28.27
2) go under 1 hr and 10 mins for a 25 mile tt, current pb is 1.14.06
3) get a pb for a 50 mile tt, not done one before
4) do the Bec Hill climb and live tee tell the tale
5) equal my pb in marshalling at four events next year
6) do a club run (or maybe 2)
7) do at least ten tts in the season, current pb is five
8) go to the Beer Circus at least once, current pb is never

Ow's about that then...?

The above was my reply to Toks' post last December about goals for 2007. Having kicked off last Sunday with the SCCU 25 (goal number 7 is now 1/10th achieved), here's the race plan:

13th May - Norwood Paragon 25
19th May - SCCU 10 * Rawson Shield Point :D
20th May - Worthing 25 (first time for two TTS in one weekend)
3rd June - South Eastern RC 25
23rd June - Horsham 10
28th July - Crawley 10 (on hols in Italy for three weeks in July)
4th August - Old Portlians 10
12th August - Anerley BC 50 * first ever 50
18th August - Epsom 10
1st September - Redmon 10 * target to hit PB goal in a 10 by this time
8th September - ACC Open 10 ? (may marshal this instead)
9th September - SCCU 25 * Rawson Shield Point and target to hit PB goal in a 25 by this time :D
29th September - Festival 10
30th September - Epsom 25

If I can do all this then goals 1, 2, 3 & 7 will all be achieved. I'm sure I can fit in goals 4, 5 & 6. I'm always away when there's an ACC visit to the Beer Circus so that's my dodgy one

OK - time to hit that turbo snoozer!

Cheers - Snoop

I have luckily already completed two of my goals, that is:

break the hour for a 25 for the first time,

finish building my TT bike. Didn't quite manage it by Feb though.

That leaves three more. under 2hour 5min for a 50, qualify and ride the National 50 and do my first 100. Somehow I also seem to have acquired the goal of completing a 12 hour as well.

Good luck Snoop, after Sunday's ride you'll get under 1h10 this year. You've hardly touched your bike so far and you weren't that far off your pb.

Expect I'll see you at a few of the 10s, maybe even on a CR. Haven't you already done 2, which means 6 can be ticked off.

You already have beaten me this year Paul!

March 18th - Dunsfold (road circuit)

24 Paul Tunnell Addiscombe CC 3V 2 @ 4.20
25 Adam Cotterell Addiscombe CC 3 36

Though i might add,

a. there were no zipps at my disposal that day, which would have easily made the difference

b. i am a hell of a lot fitter now than i was then

Chertsey on the 5/5!?
