Cycling's record may be bad but I would like to see some athletics events "exposed" in the same way.
I've given up watching 100m sprinting since the Balco affair. How many people have run under 10 secs clean, not to mind 9.9 secs ? How many have been caught in tests ? and how many by other methods ?
Do people believe that there was no EPO in the distance runnning scene in the 90's when no tests existed ?
Admittedly, the economics of the situation and the team set-up and mentality are slightly different in cycling and these make doping easier to organise. However, the same pharmacuetical benefits are there in athletics and the drug testing programme if anything is less rigorous.
