A great ride. Because of engineering works I had to ride to the event, luckily I managed to find my lights as it was pitch black when I left but was bright and sunny by the time I was out the other side of Bromley, but somewhere out near Dunton Green I rode into thick fog. The ride was turning into a bit of an adventure and I hadn't even got to the event yet.
Marek was there and suggested joining him and a few others in a little group as he was, to quote "up for it". This of course caused a certain amount off apprehension and selfdoult as to whether I would be equal to the challenge. We passed over the start mats, the transponders beeped and Marek was off. I lost contact with him in the congestion at the start, but all in all had a decent ride and managed to hitch up with a few tasty groups for a time of 4.40. I should have hammerd it a bit more and would have been hapier with a sub 4.30 time , but it was enough for silver so mustn't grumble. The best result of the day thougand aching legs it would have been a bit grim. Thanks again.
I think marek did it in 3.39 for the second fasted time of the day. Well done.
