The Marmotte is a 3 day ride?

I saw a few of the fat furry 8uggers as well.

[quote]That'll be one 750ml bottle and a mars bar for PVT then.

Nonsense - I don't eat chocolate (and that'll be a 500ml bottel)

Latest weather update from our hosts

"The weather here has been great - patchy Tues morning but otherwise bright and sunny and yesterday was hot on the Izoard.  Mornings are cool though - as low as 6 degrees C first thing (at 7am).  So warmer kit and long fingered gloves essential.

There has been a bit of snow on very high peaks - a dusting at 3000m."

Guy & Helyn - KotM

Now - remember that we're staying half way up the Col D'Ornon so the first part of the ride every day is a 10 minute descent and it'll be COLD (not that we'll be starting at 7am of course)

...and the last bit of every ride a 1 hour climb back to the hotel

only about 25 minutes back up - about 4 box hills but steeper :-)

Also remember that this is not a fancy hotel but a small chalet (converted schoolhouse) in an isolated village of about 30 people - so unless Paul Tunnell decides to table dance there's little in the way of entertainment.

so take books ipods etc if you need to be distracted from the pain of the days rides

Like I said about an hour back up :) . If PVT starts table dancing then you'll want a very big book so you can hide behind it.
