Too many chiefs......again?

[quote]Italy for world's: Paolo Bettini, Danilo Di Luca, Davide Rebellin, Filippo Pozzato, Damiano Cunego, Alessandro Ballan, Alessandro Bertolini, Marzio Bruseghin, Andrea Tonti, Vincenzo Nibali and Giovanni Visconti.

Looks like they may have too many chiefs again. I count 6 or 7 (if you include Nibali) leaders out of 9 riders.

Domestiques, pah who needs 'em.

Because they're good, and we're not.

Actually, its the way they calculate it, UCI Pro tour points...

Lots of our riders don't even ride for Pro - Tour teams, hence, we havn't scored the points. However, i do believe we should be allowed six, as i reckon we had a better 2007 than 2006. Mind you, it hardly matters, they'll all just ride for whichever country pays them/is likely to have a team contract for them anyway. (not mentioning any names, Charly)

Having said that, I cant say i blame them, apparently the Italians and the Belgians offer big money to 'foreigners' who work for them on them on the sly. And its not like we'd win yet anyway.

Lets hope he proves me wrong, but Cav will not win this year. I'd bet more on Millar, some of you would love that wouldn't you

Anyhow, back to the Italians, leaving Daniele Benati at home? Big mistake, he could get round that course and still win i reckon, did you see Bettini's face when he got beat in the Vuelta the other day? Said it all.

Too many ego's, but then it can work both ways. As they can all attack, and everyone else will have to chase as their all so dangerous. Just so long as they don't chase each other down

If it goes to form in the Worlds then the Italians will argue amongst themselves and someone else will nick the win, probably Friere.

Yh its a bit stupid the way its done, because last year, only one rider was allowd from Luxembourg, whereas apparently Iran were allowed 4!?

Luxembourg get six riders this year, only their scratching their heads over who to send, other than the Shleck's and Kim Kirchen, who else have they got!?

But becasue Andy Shleck kicked ass at the Giro, they get 6 riders. Madness!
