So, I have a bit of a thing for Jelly Belly jelly beans. The other day I noticed that my local sainsbury's had a Jelly Belly pick'n'mix stand... result I thought!

So i forgot about the dirty pop-corn, liqoirice, cinnamon etc and plumped straigh for many spoons worth of Strawberry Cheesecake, Very Cherry, Tutti-Frutti, Strawberry Daiquiri, Wild Blackberry, Orange Sherbet, Cream Soda, Candy Floss and Bubble Gum. To name but a few.

Anyway, the point is they come in a vey handy re-sealable bag that I can now use to put my mobile and cash in when i go training 5 days a week :D Once I finish all the jelly beans of cousre, which won't take me long

No more dodgy money bags!

I found Sainsbury's small resealable food bags invaluable this summer for such things. They are also good for taking stashes of white powder with you on really long rides... so you can mix more energy drinks ;)

Only problem is they didn't come with Jelly Bellys. Whats with the Juicy Pear flavour? It tastes vile. Tried some of their Energy Beans this summer, a pleasant alternative to gels.

The energy beans are a con, seriously, if you want jelly beans instead of gels, just get the normal ones, there cheaper and blatently the same!

Is this true.....Are the normal jelly beans a good energy food for cycling. I have seen various pics of Sylv pulling funny faces as a result of a tough jelly baby..

So is it

Jelly beans
Jelly babies
Wine gums

AAAAAAHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA

Im not letting him get away with that one, just wait til he gets back~!!!!

Graham, I've never used any myself, I don't like the fiddly nature of getting them out your back pocket. I would say that Jelly (Belly) beans would be good though, no lack of artificial colours there. They're not exactly that much cheaper than proper energy stuff though
