there are other good reasons to drink coffee of course - stimulates the metabolism and heightens brain activity - but too much is not a good idea

It's also an interesting training device - in respect of if you don't drink it during the normal course of your training - then you DO drink it before a race, you should see a clear benefit.


What's the UCI limit for caffeine these days?

following my recent BUPA healthcheck, and slightly high cholesterol results, i bought a juicer and am still using it, so i drink some exotic stuff, and the day tends to be as follows...

- breakfast juice of apples, carrot, celery, lemon, ginger & beetroot (makes wee go a bit pink)
- 2 cups of tea
- 6 cups of water
- occasional evening juice of carrots, apple, spinach, ginger, etc.

i tried throwing a garlic clove in there once... never again :shock:

i reckon i'll get bored of the juicer eventually (and certainly tired of all the ingredients shopping), but am enjoying it for now, and do feel better for it...

oh, my wife went through the juicer phase as well, now it sits neglected in a cupboard. Too much hassle to clean and too expensive as well, most of the fruit seemd to end up as pulp. I reckon a blender is what you need, just chop up the fruit smlallish, add some apple juice or youghurt and push the button to belnd into a smoothie, you gets the flesh and all. Me, I save all that and just eat it.
