THat's Patrick "Swiss Schali" Schallbetter, mtb 24h legend being interviewed at the end.

He's done many many 24h solo mtb events, but says he might not want to do another 24h road event - because of the traffic.

Really wouldn't want to be riding for 24h straight on open roads myself.

"He's such a prima donna" - wonder who they are talking about?

:D Yes the Addiscombe were known as the long distance club. The club had up to six riders in the 24hrs-Addiscombe very organised-with six teams of helpers ourriders stop (only for lights and night clothing ) Dont forget for every three minute's spent off the bike it is a mile wasted!!! on the total ride . Yes Eddie Did win this event and the Addiscombe did the the best aggregate team Milage --- Stan Harvy also Gus Andrews both won this event . This you will be able to read in more detail in the Club History Chris Watts is to publish soon !! Keith Wawman.
