Bike Boxes

Can anyone please help? The Nobes's are off on their hols in August and need to transport three bikes by air. Does the Club or any member thereof have such things for hire?

You can hire hard cases from GBs if no-one has one. Do you only want boxes? These will be heavy and for all of you could end up with a big bill in excess baggage. I have a huge Planet X padded bike bag you are welcome to as it is superfluous now I have a good smaller one that suits me better. It has plenty of padding and the bike should be safe once you do the normal pipe lagging/bubble wrapping etc.

Another option to consider is to get a cardboard bike box from a bike shop (which they would otherwise throw away).

That will provide a little more protection than a bag.

A bag is easier to carry around though.
