Just wanted to say thanks (or give 'a shout out' in proper Sarf London parlance) to all the club members who made my first club run & riding in a group such an enjoyable day out. Not sure of all the names (memory like a seive!) but Marco, Terry and lots of Johns etc - thanks! Won't be able to make next weekend as wife is from Pompey so I'll be on Southsea common watching the Cup Final on a big screen but look forward to the weekend after and CR No2 - better get some of South Croydon's hills in the legs during the week.
In the meantime great to see Slipstream take the maglia rosa this afternoon and some great performances across the board by the Brits (Millar, Wiggins, Cavandish, Cummings, Thomas & Charly W all looked good - jeez when did we ever have so many Brits in the Giro!?...answers on a postcard!). Coverage looks good on Eurosport for next week so let's hope a Brit can bag a stage.
