Hi all - this is in the process of being mailed out to everyone:

Thanks to everyone who has helped out at an event thus far, and to those who have already committed to do so through the year.

We have our Open 25 mile time trial on April 27th and we still need a few more helpers for this. Please let me know if you can help.

Below is a list of races we need to cover and how many helpers we still need. If you have not yet put your hand up to cover off your commitment please take a look at the schedule and let me know when you would like to help. The race organiser will contact you nearer the time with full details. Remember helpers are allocated on a first come first served basis so if you would prefer to choose your slot rather than have one allocated to you then get in quick!!

How does this system work?
We all had emails demanding that every non-racing member must help at at least two events or be barred from the club. I and others volunteered for dates that suited, expecting to be given more details closer to the event. Having volunteered to help at yesterday's TT, one of the first to do so looking at the below responses to Snoops OP, I heard nothing further, and have volunteered also for the hill climb in September.
If I hear nothing for that event am I expected to have some random date allocated to me to fill my twice a year quota, despite having volunteered for others? I know what my response will be.

I have no problem with an event in which I am helping being cancelled, a quick email or text to save a wasted journey is fine. I do have a problem with volunteering for something, keeping the date free, and nobody telling me whether I am needed or not. That is just discourteous
