Wheel building Part III

Postby Marky Mark » Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:54 pm

Part III being the actual practical :D .

9 am Saturday morning came Knowing I didn't have to ride down to CSS for the CR, some members even rode passed my house to rub it in.

Missed it like carzy, and to add salt to the wounds I was going to mountain bike it up to the air fair with Marco on Sunday.

Plan C worked for me today with great thanks to Grahame for teaching Part I and II in the class room.

Part III was such a pleasure. My bike from last week was buckled due to my various stunts and rear mech failure, so I decided on this sunny day to lay my bike on it's saddle and bars. Set up the untired wheel on my frame, tools, beer, nipple sanner, pork pies, more beer.

You'd be so proud of me Grahame Oh master, ONE handed trued my rear wheel from just under 4mm runout, to within 0.15mm total true'edge, It took over 47 minutes of beer drinking in the summers sun to achieve thus said accuracy.

I would never of tried it if it wasn't for parts I & II of the course
