Third time lucky???? 3 ACCIDENTS IN 4 WEEKS.........

Postby Nick » Mon Sep 20, 2004 4:55 pm

Believe it or not I was again knocked off my bike on thursday 16/9/2004 :x .
Was big this time though, A double crack in my left thigh bone and concussion :D .Mind you had a free ride in an ambulance with Blues and Twos 8) .
Got home today without a leg cast as cracks to high in my bone. Need two weeks at least from work and club runs unfortunatally  . my bike is very twisted  as the white mercedes sprinter was doing 30 when he caught the side of me. So have got a few weeks to look for new bike :D .
CAN YOU PLEASE COME FORWARD WITH ANY NEW NICKNAMES AS

MAY RETIRE.......................................
P.S. MAY I ADD ALL THE ACCIDENTS WERE NOT MY FAULT, DRIVERS HAVE ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY ON ALL 3 ACCOUNTS.

for gods sake stay away from Paul Brown, he went down twice on saturday, I guess you two are keeping the bike industry afloat.

im not sure how you ride along the road, most cyclist are nice and stay well into the curb to be considerate!

when streets are busy i ride in the middle of the lane, therefore a car cant squeeze past you, and if it does, you have plenty of room to move over

if you dont do this....do!

 I AM A VERY COURTIOUS RIDER AT ALL TIMES
I was coming around a large round about in the middle lane when a van come down a slip road didn't stop or slow down (To which he has admitted) and drove into my left side????....The only bit I remeber was hitting between the A pillar and door and the indicator falling off. unconsious for 1-2 minutes, then couldn't get up. Claimed he couldn't see me even though I was all in YELLOW, the team COLOURS.
For people who know sidcup it was at Crittles corner roundabout I was travelling under the under pass and he was exiting from the A20 from swanley.

I am with Rob on this one, when I ride on my own I make sure I am seen and very often heard whenever there is any doubt in my mind about a drivers awareness(?!!!).
I am not saying you did anything wrong, its just we have a different style of self preservation!

Yeah! Crittles Corner is a right tricky one to negotiate en velo :? ...... you're lucky you didn't sustain more serious injury
