Don't know if any of you will be interested in this, but we are going to be starting up the Leith Hill night rides again soon, along with the ChocolateFoot lot. We did a few last year and they were top notch - doing Deliverance in the wet at night is a real eye-opener, as well as all the stuff in Redlands Wood like Wave of Mutilation and White Jam. They are a fair bit more technical than the ones from ECBR but if you are a competent enough rider, you'll be fine.
The plan is to meet at Landslip car park at 8pm on Thursdays (although check http://www.Chocolatefoot.co.uk to be sure. We plan to meet there so we can finish with a terrifying descent of Cliff Richard although there is an alternative route that a few will do, and is still pretty cool (flowing singletrack, nice downhill, etc.).
Oh, and for the ultimate, there's a night time DH race at Aston Hill on Saturday 30th October down the famous Black Run. It kicks off at 7pm and you get two timed runs down this steep, technical downhill course (not for the faint hearted even in the day). Cushtie, Dom, 12 and I are going to enter, and it promises to be the race of the year with crashes galore and those fancy new USE lights as prizes in each category. Woo, and indeed, Hoo.
