Chausson is dynamite under pressure - that's what comes of having 16 world titles under your belt. When you've sat in the start gate as the last rider on course and won as many times as she has you get to know all about pressure. Reade hasn't been there before and buckled - given her superior fitness (remember Chausson had at one point been retired and was away from the sport for several years) she should never have been behind in the first place. Thank god she didn't take Chausson down when she clipped wheels cos that would have been a travesty.
So, a shame for Shaz but she'll be back but really, REALLY give it up for Chausson, she's a phenomenon and will likely never be beaten in terms of world titles - if only BMX racing had been an olympic sport all those years when she was in her prime
