advice on tyres

Postby peter munden » Wed Jan 19, 2005 12:48 pm

I'm after some advice on what tyres to get next, I am currently using Schwable Blizzards which give reasonable grip in the dry and pretty much no grip in the wet. I would be interrested to hear from anyone if they had any recommendations on what to make and model to go for,

Cheers,

Peter.

he says theyre amazing, but poor at cornering(i think thats what he said)

I have had my Armii's at a very low angle to the ground in all weathers whilst conering and never had any problems, But I have never had the experience of other makes so prehaps I'm just used to what I've got and maybe need to try???

Armadillos are definitely the bees knees if you don't want to p******e. I put them on my road bike November - February and use them on my commuting bike all year round. 1 p******e in the last 3 years. Big disadvantage is that it takes a lot longer to fix the bu**ers as you have had so little practice!

Well I have michelin pro race tyres on my commute bike and have had 5 punctures in the last month so don't buy them. Got one Armadillo on my race bike and think I will get another once the other one needs replacing.
