I need your advices: building a commuter!

52cm seat tube too (well actually 50 c-c as it's sloping) so too small. The Thorn's are good frames, I was very close to buying one for my winter bike. They have a bit of an audax/touring image so your white bar tape band won't like them , but then they all ride plastic bikes .

If you don't need to biuld it up until April then ebay will definitely be your friend for groupset bits as you can take your time and a lot of stuff is available on there new and boxed from dealer selling old stock. Keep an eye out in Butler's too at the end of the year as they will sell off "old" kit. You can also get a 20% discount rather than the usual 10% at the end of the year in their sale.

A perfectly doable commute. I often commute just over 20 miles to canary wharf.. did it every day both ways in june when the weather was really nice.
Although have been slacking lately since my fast folder got stolen - which let me commute one way and take the train back. perhaps an option you might consider for your commute?

or... best option.... get a shiny new 2009 bike for next year and use your current Bianchi for the commute.

I could shave 10 minutes off my time easily when I used the road bike over the folder... although once did it on the mountain bike when the weather was bad and nearly killed myself.

I've been wond'rin bout taking up Commutopia on my mtb. Reasons? Guess it'd get me fitter than road bike? Presumably I can buy a rack and pannier to shove on mtb? comments on question 2 muchas appreciados

Fit skinny tyres, Specialized All condition pro are good and can be pumped to 100+ psi. Transforms speed and handling of an mtb.
