Patellar Tendinitis

Postby Stu Merckx Man » Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:30 pm

some more bad news, ive had patellar tendinitis since friday!! (front of the knee). what is it with me and ailments ending in itis!!!

i went to the physio and she did some treatment to it monday, and ive been stretching, icing and massaging ever since. its starting to feel better now, and i can walk up stairs again!

i think it was caused from lowering my saddle slightly when i had a saddle sore last week.

i almost couldnt believe that fate would bestow this upon me the week after 7 weeks of illness, but i guess there is nothing which fortune does not dare... (good or bad!).

ive been starting to loose sleep over how much fitter adam would be than me by now !

I think youve got whingitis.

Do you have a patellar tracking problem? I get this if my saddle is too low. It can easily be fixed by taping the knee.

Stu, to save you loads of time typing telling us what is wrong with you.

Would it be quicker to tell us which parts of you do work? 8)

Maybe just use your good leg for now...

All the best and hope you get alot better soon....

Sorry to hear that Stu. I had a spot of that last year and had to have a few physio sessions, lots of stretching and lay off the bike for a bit. Well worth erring on the side of caution with stuff like that, otherwise you can do a lot more damage.

[quote]Cystitis.

John!!!! that’s really dangerous in men (and dogs apparently) !!!! gosh… do get better soon.

Stu... nothing wrong with resting up for a bit longer and enjoying the festivities.. this way you can get really drunk and hold it... rather than being high on the smell of it.

Bring on 2009

take care..

Ouch, I had this a few years ago and was to do with not putting my saddle up high enough (happened to me on the Etape, was painful). If you have got the saddle back to the right height now then it should get better pretty quickly. If it is painful just take some pain relief and if you can get some anti inflammatories from you local drug dealer that should help.

Cheers

Marek....
