Yep sure does. I thought Chelsea already did it, but called it blood spinning and told the authorities it was nothing to worry about.

Well, it's a very fine line. But in this case I'm gonna say no, it doesn't.

Why is it doping if it is for the aiding of recovery from injury, not to enhance performance?

If it is legalized, then could it be used for recovery as well?

I would say athletes should be banned full stop from storing or allowing somebody else to store their own blood.

Aiding the recovery does enhance the performance. Where do you define the line between this and topping up blood cell counts at the end of a tour stage to the normal level, that could be (and has been) argued to be just speeding up the recovery process too.

The process that is described is refering to injecting the platelets into the injured muscle, not back into the blood stream. I just think that methods of improving recovery from injury should be very carefully analysed before they are branded doping.

You are speaking to an injured rider though!

Surely it's no different from having a very good physio/chiropractor etc?
