Alternate CR 28/3

Postby Andrew G » Mon Mar 23, 2009 2:46 pm

Seeing as how I'm too slow to do the TT I had down for Saturday it looks like I might make the CR then.

Different route though.
CSS-Merstham-Bletchingley-Horne-Newchapel-Lingfield-Edenbridge-Westerham
Cafe stop in Westerham after about 40-45miles
Options from Westerham. Can go straight back via Botley to get home for a normal sort of time(lunch), or if the weather is suitable then I may go on for a few more miles and do a longer ride - If I do and you need to get back I can point you back to home though as it isn't difficult to follow (Lockey caveat in place on direction following ability).

There's a few lumps so a bit hillier than a CR but nothing that steep or long. A bit of B road between Lingfield and Edenbridge but nothing too busy.

18s-19s standard group depending who wants to join me.

Normal CR meet Mike, I'll ask Monty to go off as first after the training group.

It says chilly, very windy, and showers, so I hope to be at CSS. Will bail if it's raining reasonably hard when I'd have to leave home but with a bit of luck it'll only be a light shower here and there. Anyway as my Dad say, "the weather's always better in Kent".

I'll probably join you guys if the ride is more 18-ish than 19-ish, 2009 has not really started for me yet :-)

Sorry folks bit of a dodgy stomach this morning, add in light drizzle and a slate sky and...well another cup of tea and Saturday Kitchen wins.
