Alpine Route

I am going out to Chamonix in a couple of weeks time and I need to get directions for a good 150km route which takes in a few climbs but is basically a round trip.

Does anyone know of a route in that area that they can advise me on as I don't really know where to start looking.

You could go out towards Switzerland to around Montreux (biiiig hill to start with), go round the Geneva lake and back by the valley on the French side - though I think this might be more than 150km! Have a play on http://www.viamichelin.com, you can check out distances from place to place, with check points along the way (get them beforehand on the "map" function).

A bit of flat alongside the lake and some steep hills before and after.

If you have Google Earth you can even check out the route profile for this or other rides, just done it, wish I was there at the moment!

I will see what I can do on the Assos front but I cannot promise anything as most of the time I will be out on the bike and only there for three days.
