[quote="Sylv"][quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]My big worry is that I do not have time to do any long rides till the final few days before I get there. Psychologically I feel extremely positive about my present condition, which is way beyond where I was this time two years ago. I never, never ever would've thought I'd be doing regular avg 18/19 rides twice a week a couple of years ago. I know there is more to give, just got to maintain the present gains too.

Just repeat this mantra to yourself up the climbs of the nove colli Sean - allez allez, hop hop, hop - allez allez, hop hop hop .. :)

Or as I did in last year's Etape, in the words of Thomas the Tank Engine "I know I can I know I can I know I can...."

Luckily there was a call out the blue for a Kent run.. So then there were 9 lucky souls setting off for the THREE COUNTIES CHALLENGE.

Cracking bunch of Ladies and Gents setting off through the ups and downs of Surrey, East Sussex and Kent. We stopped at a Tea Room called St Ives near Hartfield sharing some banta with a peacock and greedy Two-Sconns Conner. Good call sir as it was a shame just to have the one! More for me please came from all directions. That was one noisey COCK.

After setting off for Ashdown I realised that the time had passed so quick I really should be getting home, y'know what it's like!!!! so we pulled over and had a show of hands who needed to get home, the other lucky sods could ride all day, not that I'm jealous at all.

I some how navigated the 5 of us getting home early through the heartland of Kent and must of found every single drag and hill you possibly could in a single afternoon. For this I apologise but my legs feel well fit for that, well done to you all.

Naming no names but....
Possibly Marlpit HILL
Crockham HILL
Titsy HILL
HILL
HILL
Bla bla bla etc.

OMG Titsy hill is a bitch without a compact on. But I'm chuffed to the Gilly-mots with doing it. Pat on ones back for that after riding for 55-60 miles ish.

Stop press, Stats in
61.3 miles (of HILLS lol)
Av speed 14mph
Max speed 45.2mph (probably when the bottle jumped out of its cage)
Av HR 134bpm
Max HR 180bpm
Ride time 4h 28 mins (of bloody HILLS lol)
Total ascent 4790ft Oooooooo yeah baby.

Big thank you to the all the mob of 9, mostly seen on Crimewatch (you know who you are, I can't remember!).

We really must do that again and again and again.

Cheers, Marky Mark :D
