Well since it's Friday and you've already been having loadsa fun with Rob's competition and are begging for more, here is a second installment of afternoon fun.
Up for grabs are a pair of brand new Ergon grips, which were part of the prize won at the Sleepless in the Saddle 24h race last weekend, retail value £20. You have to promise to use them though!

They would suit best a flat-bar mountain bike or hybrid commuter bike. I haven't tried them but have read some raving reviews about them, meant to be very comfortable with extra support for the palm.
Soooo ... the questions are (it's all available on the web):
1) What was the absolute best lap time by any rider of any category at this year's Kona Sleepless in the Saddle race at Catton Park?
2) What was Sylvain's ranking at the Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem 24h race in the solo category in 2003?
3) What is the average weight, to the nearest 10gms, of my favourite saddle, pictured below?

Yep Selle Italia Flite, Evolution model. Was made around 1994. Rare as hens teeth nowadays. They still sell the later model "Evolution 3" which is a bit lighter and flexier but doesn't look this good, the retail is an astronomic £130-140.
I got all of mine second hand but in great condition, the first off Mark Bayliss for dirt cheap. Tried it for a laugh on the road, realised it was surprizingly comfy, and have used nothing else now for two years since. I've got the Evo 3 as well which I use off-road, and another Evo like this one. I don't want to ride on anything else ever! Expect to pay around £60 for a second-hand one in this condition (if you can find one!).
The comfort is due firstly to the shape that fits my butt perfectly, and the fact that it is hard (so just your bones sit on it) yet very flexible (so it deflects the road/trail buzz). You really have to try it to believe it, I never notice the saddle which is the cliché thing to say about a good saddle.
More great advantages: it doesn't get soggy in the wet and allows free movement without being slippy, it's fairly light though not stupid light as some more recent carbon saddles (48gm!!), and looks fab.
