I though that there was something wierd going on yesterday. Lance obviously has more in his locker than he is showing.

Question is, is he sandbagging, and if so why ?

Sandbagging the lot of them. Lance saying he can't keep up and Contador saying Wiggins is his biggest rival.

It'll be every man for himslf for the time trial and again in the last 10k on Ventoux. Remember how Sastre won the tour last year on with an attack everyone ignored for too long on Alpe d'Huez. Stephen Roche did something similar at La Plange to win his tour, Lemond on his special TT bike in Paris. This year it will be even easier because Ventoux is the last throw of the dice, it'll be so crowded time splits during the race won't be accurate. Remember, Lancey still smarts from giving the Ventoux stage to Pantani all those years ago.

Phil and Paul (yeah, them again, sorry Marco) reckoned that LA bridged the gap to protect AC from any attacks from the Schlecks. Now I don't know much about road-racing, but I was expecting him to sit back, let his team-mate get on with it and cover any moves which might come from Sastre or Evans.

What a good job the boys were there to explain that Lance was in fact playing the perfect team role in looking after Contador, and not just protecting his own lead over Wiggins.
