Plea for a 12Hour helper.

Postby Andrew G » Mon Aug 10, 2009 9:05 pm

Unfortunately my mum is going to be unable to assist my dad in my support crew for the 12 hour. I would be extremely grateful if someone was able to step in to the fray and give my dad a hand in keeping me fed and watered.

I'm afraid it would be an early start, based on last year it would mean leaving Croydon between 5.30 and 6, depending on my start time, to pick me up as I complete my first lap of the first circuit.

Any questions about what is involved then please ask and my dad or I will be able to answer them. Thanks in advance.

Forgot to say, it's on Sunday 23rd August.

I could come and help after I've been to play in Richmond Park, but it would be mid to late morning before I'd be there. Dunno if that's any good to you.

Jon you are a star.

If you don't mind it after your T(T) in the park Mummy's little soldier would be most grateful. Put me at the top of your list for a 12 helper in 2010 8) .

I'll be very happy to look after the tyke from the point of return from the long Newmarket/A14 drag till around noon, and would welcome your company and expert helper savvy, Jon, from then till the finish. With 2 experienced men like us behind him Andrew has got to improve A LOT from his initial 208 miles ride last year (so no pressure then  ) . Will be in touch about details next week, Jon.

Thank you for the offer Joyce, but I am okay now with Jon and my Dad (an old 'un :) ).

All packed up and just deposited all my boxes of goodies with the folks. Just got to ride it now, a mix of :D and  I suspect, fingers crossed for better weather than last year. At the moment looks like it might be a bit warm, but thankfully dry.
