how to i convert my itunes into my sonic stage?

from what i can make out

its aac audio file, music is stored in music-i tunes


sony sonicstage works on attrac, and is totally different format therefore wont import easily!!!

Have you tried burning to a CD and then copying back with the software you want it in. This usually works.

Trouble is Marco, if you download from the internet the software you use usually decides on the format. If ripping you can choose the format you want.

So, the solution is as I said before...whatever the format on the PC just burn it to a CD then simply copy/rip it back using the software/format that you want.

Try the above Rob, it does work. I do it all the time.

itunes enables you to convert tracks to mp3. haven't done it, but it's there if you right click on a track.

but doesn't the sony player come with software to convert to atrac? if so, which formats does it support?

rob let me dig out my version of wave lab and get update if that has the right format it allows batch conversions so can do whole folders automatically

robe when you done a couple of them bring the ipod and the new thing over and ill record them in and analyse the waveforms, be interesting to see the difference between them.

it works...and its free
