I can vouch that semi-slicks are not much use in snow. Forgot to swap tyres last night on the station bike, which made for an interesting descent down to the A23 this morning

Yup, wished I'd grabbed the knobbly-shod MTB this morning instead of the old one with slicks on. Had a hell of a time staying upright on the way from Three Bridges to Manor Royal in Crawley!
