LONDON to PARIS in 2006

Postby Yohan » Wed Nov 09, 2005 7:17 pm

Hi, I'm thinking of doing this ride next year, does anyone know where I can start getting some info regarding this? What websites? ...and how long in advance I'd need to register to get in.

I heard there may be several of these rides, so which one is suited to a newbie, 17-19 mph?
Isn't there one which co-incides with the Tour De France Paris stage?

cheers
Yo.

..thats very impressive marco, amazing to hear u done it in such a short space of time!
..I doubt however I'd be that organised...I'd be happy to let someone else take the strain......an sounds a far lot easier on the legs too :)

Marco, thats the way to do it! There are loads of these rides as said, but they always want you to raise at least £1000 plus your 'entry'. There's loads of cheap hotels en route to Paris.

You could actually do it as lightly as possible, regarding what you take.

If you were to plan your route and pick out the places you wanted to stay, you could pre-book a room, and have say, a T-shirt and (old) shorts to wear at night sent to the Hotel before you left England. Likewise with anything else. I'm pretty sure if you contact the Hotel and make these arrangements, they'll be fine with it. All you have to do is throw them away or take em down the PO in the morning and send them home!

You can do it at the price you want and in the time you want too.

How does that sound?
