.....you get excited to see road re surfacing work taking place on a road you use and are disappointed to see the finished work only covered about 30 meters of the road and the rest of it still looks like the surface of the moon. Why cause all that delay and disruption and do so little? :( And no it wasn't because it was the worst bit of road.
The road in question is the Chipstead valley road coming into Coulsdon.

I was delighted to see the advance notification signs go up for the roundabout at the bottom of Gravel Hill, crash through that rutfield every day.

Elephant RAB to Borough Market :roll: it's nicer on the ride home and following the diversion around the road works, going to have to switch to that way on the way in.

Last week I found that some roads on Lanzarote need a bit of attention. No massive potholes like over here, just a general rough surface. Best way to ride them was hands on the tops and put the hammer down, pretending to be off the front in Paris-Roubaix. Other bits were bloody fantastic though.
