Help ACC win a massive trophy - SCCU dates

Postby Andrew G » Wed Mar 03, 2010 11:01 pm

Addiscombe is a member of the Southern Counties Cycling Union (SCCU) who organise a number of time trials.
There is a season long competition which rewards the club that has the most representatives in these races.
The trophy is the Rawson Shield which is absolutely huge and affectionately known as the fire guard :D .
Addiscombe are the current holders and to help us win again it would be fantastic if you would consider entering the following races. They are always well attended by Addiscombe members so will have plenty of friendly faces there so you need not be worried about not knowing anyone.
If you have any questions then feel free to ask.

For time trials entry must be via a CTT entry form and sent with entry fee (i.r.o. £8) which can be downloaded from the cTT website here. Any help you need (we are in London south district by the way) just ask and people will be glad to help you fill out the form. The form should be sent to the organiser 2 weeks ahead of the date of the race, and again ask for the organiser's details and it can be supplied I don't want to put their personal address details on here, just send me a pm.

The TT Calendar is (Event HQ is place given):

Well done for taking on the promotion of the fireguard mate 8)

When I was TT ing I was proud to encourage people to come along, have a go, and add to the pile of points needed to secure this mighty trophy. For a couple of years we barnstormed the comp, leaving everyone in our wake, mwa ha haaa. Last year it was a v close thing though, Crawley Wheelers v nearly took it.

I doubt very much I'll be putting on the pointy hat of doom in 2010 but I support Andrew (good work feller) and encourage everyone to pitch in and have a go. The sporting 10 on the 20th March is a lovely course, I went round it so slowly last year I had time to admire the scenery. 8)

Pitch in, fly the flag. Try it, you might like it 8)

ACC and proud
