Anyone fancy an informal glass of sweet sherry in the run up to the festive period?

I was going to suggest Tuesday 21st - because it suits me. Is Croydon easiest for people? Open to suggestions for venues or alternative dates.

21st looks clear at the moment Phil so it would seem churlish to suggest another date.
Croydon would suit me better, Green Dragon would have my vote.

Also I just spotted that the 21st is the shortest day. So that's kind-of appropriate.

I'm rather intrigued by the voting - 7 for Croydon and 4 for the 21st. I voted for one each of those and presume that 3 others did the same - what happened to the other 3?

I can be there for about 6pm but this time I must remember to buy an extension to my travel card cos I hadn't realised Croydon was just in the next zone

Just to be awkward I voted for London not Croydon. But to be honest the Green Dragon's fine, as long as they do dry sherry as well as sweet.

Last night I went on a GD recce - all in the name of good service you understand

There's a good range of festive beer on the pumps - none of it too mind bending. I recall:

Rebreast, 4.5% (tried it liked it)
Christmas Pudding (didn't try someone else recommended)
Hobgoblin 5% (didn't try others liked it)
Santa's....something (no one tried it)
Tadpole 3.8% (tried it liked it)

I've certainly had the Hobgoblin but not for a while (there's smut in there somewhere).

I wont be there straight from work because I feel a powerful need to go and sponge a drink off the department head beforehand. Probably be there just after 6:00.
