Sportive update

Postby Alan M » Thu Apr 21, 2011 10:43 am

Hi everybody

Well we have 125 paid entries and growing. So please, one big push to entrap your friends (or enemies) and if you plan to enter yourself it would be helpful for planning to receive these quite soon. I'm off to Mallorca next week but after that I will be assigning tasks and planning the detail. There is a volunteer sticky at the top of the page so if you can offer anything you think would help please leave a message, or if your availability has changed let me know please. I still have a good supply of flyers so if any of you are attending event over the next few weeks let me know and I will let you have a supply. Thanks for all the help so far. have a great weekend,

best wishes,

Alan

OK guys, we are up to 157 now with a month left to get it to maybe 200+. We have 35+ Addiscombe riders - faaaaanastic! . Anymore for anymore? Nonna's cafe has today agreed to provide/sell a welcoming coffee and cake on riders return to the HQ. He asks what people might most appreciate/buy after a ride. Any thoughts?

Thanks to people who are still helping and offering ideas. I will be working on the task/duty allocation for the ride after the weekend when I plan to do the May flyer - they have over 450 but we could easily build to that if wishing to repeat in subsequent years. I still have some flyers if there are parts we have yet to reach?

Thanks for all your help

Alan

For what it's worth....I think 150 plus for a first time event is a great number. Well done to all who have helped promote this, a good result which is getting better all the time

Cheers - Snoop

178, going to Nonna's tomorrow to organise food and post ride coffees. You can come for a coffee even if you're not riding. Looking for 200 - who do you know that you haven't asked? Entry on the day is a possibility - bring cash or cheque, £20

Sorted out for Nonna Rosa's to set up morning coffee bar and afternoon hot food at the HQ so why no drop by and say hello even if you're not riding.

Formatting above went astray but you can probably work it out.I will put it on the website presently. I need a gazebo for the 2nd feed station which will be just outside Rusper. Anyone can lend one and drop it off to Phil Hawkes?

If I actually turned up to swimming this Thursday then ... Ah, got to make a cake for scout camp.

Try phil dot hawkes at gmail dot com.

Alan: I did look at the spot yesterday in passing. I seem to recall it will probably take something 15' square. Probably.

Phil if you are driving to the club 10 on tues I can put it in car then. Bus will hand over.

Mmmm cake sounds better than swimming are you sure you can't make cake before the swim session starts? we could test it for you, not sure how much would be left for the scouts.
