Postby Matt Robbins » Fri Sep 28, 2007 12:11 pm

Hi,

Does anybody have a brown saddle (no funny jokes please) they would like to sell to me, don't mind how old and battered...

Cheers,

Matt.

Is that a Langster......oh my word....how embarassing.....if you're going to be a FAKENGER at least get an old school bike...

Just to repeat folks that is NOT ME!!!!!

Just looked at it again...that is some mixed up style that chap has got...the courier bag is just....horrible!

I think on balance the Penny is slightly less humiliating than the white courier bag and brooks saddle adorning a Langster....

...btw how annoying is that 'The Penny Rolls On' article they have every month in Cycling Plus...it's like..'who cares this is not real cycling just some silly eccentric looking for something to do'....is it me or are all the cycling mags quite poor these days (cycling weekly excluded of course....maybe)....something for another thread I feel...

...in case I ever have to race at Chertsey again.

...just kidding, I have just had my nice old track frae re-sprayed in a funky kinda green and I just thought a brown saddle might look better than a black one...

....but I'm beginning to wish I had never mentioned it...

Yes, that guy should be locked up on general style grounds not just cycling ones.

I mean does anything he is wearing or have actually 'go' together. My fashion student friends could have a field day knocking him off his pedestal!

I mean they do it to me enough!!

Matt, you could try Ripley bike jumble (on 13 October, I think). I got a Brooks Professional there a couple of years ago for about £49.99 less than the new price.

Matt, I had forgotten I still had one of these. When a shiny black B17 fell my way, I swapped it for the brown one. I found it again when looking for some rim tape yesterday (no, didn't have any).

So, if you're interested in a nicely 'lived-in' Brooks Professional (I think), drop me a pm. It's not like these modern featherweight jobs, so should slow you down on next years RotFL!
