Yup. We're booked for Fri & Sat nights. What ferry are people getting? Are we meeting on the ferry or later in Bugle?

Aim for a late afternoon/early evening ferry, book it in advance as they get busy with the after work commute between 5.30 and 7.30 We'll all meet in the Bugle during the course of the evening I expect

Haha - late pm/early evening ferry? I'll do my best...but by the time we've got home from work and Keith's faffed around (he won't have actually thought about packing until Friday eve) I reckon we'll be lucky to see you for last orders. :(

Enjoyed myself so much at ToBM that I've decided to take up my place at the Autumn Epic after all. So my room at the Bugle (that's the family room) is up for grabs.

That's ok - there won't be much socialising on the friday anyway as we'll all be in bed early saving ourselves for the break before the East Cowes chain link ferry on saturday (we wouldn't want to miss that)

Hi Huw

Hope you're feeling better - sorry you couldn't make the ToBM. It'll be a while before there's weather like that again!

Anyway, don't know if you saw my post but on reflection I think I'll do the Autumn Epic instead of coming to the IoW this year. Hope that doesn't mess you about too much - if you need me to call Mr Bugle, let me know. I don't imagine it'll be too difficult to fill our room.

Speaking of rooms, thanks for the recommendation of Lower Stanton Farm - cracking place and really nice people.

Hope to see you out and about soon.

Cheers

Adrian

EDIT: Oh, meant that as a PM  - lucky I didn't bitch about anyone

Is the Autumn Epic not the same as the Isle of Wight club run then? Bet it hasn't even got a chain ferry.

IOW - Pleasurable end of season ride and a few drinks after

Autumn Epic - Absolute f***ing torture end of season ride - especially the last 15 miles (or last 50 if you're Marek) :D

Cheers Adrian - I'll amend the booking

Adrian - don't let Huw scare you off ! The Autumn Epic is a cracking event ( especially if you have not set off at a blistering pace ), and you will love it !
cheers, :D

This is true - I loved that course and the event

Hopefully going round some of it (the best bits through the Elan Valley) in the opposite direction in next weekend's Devil Ride

I've just booked a single at Jireh House in Yarmouth for Fri & Sat night.

I've never been to the Isle of Wight, but I'm assuming it's like Mallorca but with less paella and more fish pie. :D

Exactly the same yes, except the climbs are steeper and longer, especially around Newport, ferocious
