On now - definitely worth hearing it directly from the riders' mouths.

One might guess that LA stepping down was a condition Nike demanded to continue supporting Livestrong. Mind you he's still on the board, just not the chair, and it's still officially the LAF.

No more free beer either for the Texan Tosser...Anheuser Busch ( brewers of BUD etc) are not renewing their contract at the end of the year!

Radioshack have followed Nike and stated they are severing ties with him and Oakley are awaiting the final outcome of the investigation before they make a decision.

Expect Trek will be announcing something next.

Well that didn't take long!!

Trek Bicycle Statement on Lance Armstrong
(Waterloo, WI) Trek Bicycle released the following statement regarding the company’s relationship with Lance Armstrong.

“Trek is disappointed by the findings and conclusions in the USADA report regarding Lance Armstrong. Given the determinations of the report, Trek today is terminating our longterm relationship with Lance Armstrong. Trek will continue to support the Livestrong Foundation and its efforts to combat cancer.”

Who's next? SRAM maybe!! :D

Perhaps Trek'll start marketing Greg LeMond's bikes again. A far more wholesome ambassador for the sport.

And here's what America's greatest TdF winner has to say on the cheating Texan drug-monkey:

This is having a good effect far and wide, even Sky are being influenced by USADAs findings

Kimmage's trial is going to be an interesting affair.

Hmm. Wonder if they'll have to throw out me and Tom's mate Sean. He has a positive and ... associations.

Yes, looking forward to the Kimmage thing. How the UCI can brazen this out I don't know - they look almost as corrupt as FIFA.

Heard about the Rabobank thing in the radio this morning. My reaction: a bank that thinks being associated with cycling might spoil their reputation? A bank???

But it's not a good sign.

It's not good at all Marco. The loss of one of the longest standing sponsors of a major team is nothing to be celebrated. Rabobank have been a massive supporter of cycling both at pro men's, women's and junoir levels as well as cyclo cross. Losing that level of support is a terrible loss.

I don't like people cheating and want authorities to do what they can to catch cheats and punish them. Mass internet fuelled drivel, and despite what truth there is in any of these drug stories there is 100 times as much drivel by people who don't know half the story or any of the people involved personally, does nothing to help the cause...neither does the loss of major supporters and sponsors from the sport.

Mass evacuation of sponsors won't help the drugs situation and it would have a huge detremental effect on an enormous number of people and the sport itself.

If you want to find a turd then you can find one in a park easily enough, that doesn't mean you have a mass cull of all the towns dogs.
